Expo 2000 - Hanover, Germany
Good day people. It was pay day yesterday, we got the balance of our meals money. A few of us went downtown during a break and bought little skooters which are quite popular here, you´ll see that a number of people will have them when we get home, including Charlie and Albert (check out the pictures today). If there are any special orders for other skooters, we need your credit card number, ha ha.
We had a great show yesterday. Many people showed up, the music from Kenny Mianscum, Norman Wapachee, and Richard Bosum attracts a lot of people.
We had a V.I.P tour of the German Pavillion. In there we saw large sculptures of important people we didn´t know, but it was nice. We also saw a show in the pavillion, it was a pretty cool set-up. In the last section of the German Pavillion there were a line of the most important pieces in German History, you will see a picture of Minnie Wapachee, Albert Mianscum, and Kelly Cooper with a piece of the Berlin wall.
We went out for supper at a terrific Steak House, Block House. Everyone ordered a T-bone Steak and each meal came up to 50 dm, whích is equivalent to $35.00 Canadian. Check out the pictures at the restaurant too. We had a great laugh at the restaurant when Charlie and Albert posed as young men in sunglasses, walkman, and a glass of beer and wine (we´re really sorry, we have no pictures on the net for that but we will bring home our personal pictures).
We intended on having a quiet night with a lot of rest, but Alex and Kevin were heading out to a bar nearby, and of course, we went along. By the way, it was then confirmed that Matthew Coon-Come is our national Chief which gave us a reason to celebrate , with soft drink, and other drinks as well.
We will not be able to post up other information tomorrow however we will be here to check out the e-mail you will be sending, until then Thank you for being with us and have a great day.
Lance, Minnie, and Kevin Myers (son of Mike Myers).
P.S. To Charlene and Harold Bosum, we recieved your e-mail but we have difficulty in replying. We will give this message to Billy and once again, thank you for writing. Egoodeh!

Expo 2000 - Hanover, Germany
To let you know that we have been published in four different newspapers. One of them is the Bild Hannover which is published to over 5 million people in Germany.
A woman came from another part of the world just to come and see us at the Expo. She wnted to buy the Ouje sweatshirt but Kenny gave it to her free. It´s amazing to see how many people are so interested in us Crees. We had Aboriginal People from Australia and Mongolia to come see us perform.
After each show that we have, many people stay to ask many questions. Last night some of us ate at a Italian restaurant, Charlie and Albert wanted to go back to the Canadian restaurant because they have their plates on display and just point out what you want. It was easier for them, since food is quite different here.
If you ever look at the Expo website, take a look at the 270° webcam and you can see what we see when we enter these entries. The building that we´re performing in is on the left.
The whole gang went out to the Expo Disco, a very cool bar with a lot of people. Gaston and Nancy were able to go, thanks to Mike for his professional babysitting services. Ask Steve what he saw at 3:00 am in the morning!!!!
To let us know what you think of these pictures and the diaries or if you want to say Hi to anyone, please send e-mails to oujeexpo2000@hotmail.com
See you tomorrow!!

Expo 2000 - Hanover, Germany
After the morning show we went on a VIP Tour of the Canadian Pavilion. We got to meet fellow Canadians and got to sign the Canadian flag that will hang in the Canadian Embassy in Berlin.
Albert, Charlie, Jossie, Billy and others helped construct a teepee on the stage. They also put up a swing for a baby, of course Charlie was having fun by asking where was the instructions in putting up the swing. Check out some of the pictures of Charlie on the photo page. After the teepee went up, Albert got dressed in the traditional hunting gear, he looked ready to hunt in Germany, there wasn't a proper hat, so he put on those hats for kids that keep the flies away. That was a funny moment. Our elders are having a great time, I think that it's a real adventure for them to see other areas of the world. Having Charlie around is a real BLAST.
Kelly Cooper, our littlest and cutest member of the group made it on the FULL front page again on the Expo Journal along with a group photo inside. I think she's considered the cutest baby in the whole exhibit. We were also on the front page of another German Newspaper with all of us wearing out Ouje-Bougoumou sweaters. Kenny was interviewed with a full-page article on us Crees. We are almost celebrities here, you are too, people of Ouje-Bougoumou.
Last night, most of the group members went to see the whole area of the Expo 2000. There was me (Lance), Nancy, Minnie, Charlie, Kenny, Jossie, Richard, Harry, Janis, Steve, Billy and Chantal. We got on the cable ride that overlooked the whole site and we also got on the big wheel. Some even were daring enough to get on some ride that shoots you up into the air (Big Sling Shot), like a bungee jump but going in the opposite direction, who got on? Minnie, Janis, Steve, Chantal, Harry and Jossie. Charlie went on it 10 times!!!! (Just Joking) We also went to a Canadian Restaurant here on the site, it costs about $23.00 for a hamburger and fries.
Billy Capissisit is also a member of our group who is responsible with the explanation of our Culture. He explains what our logo means and hands out brochures on Cree words that were translated to English.
Hope you enjoy these day to day journal entries, come back tomorrow and check it out. More funny pictures of Charlie in the photo section. Have fun and take care. Egoodeh until tomorrow.

Expo 2000 - Hanover, Germany
Last night most of us went to downtown Hannover to shop and to have dinner.
Also went to the Expo DISCO to enjoy a night out. A sober night out…..don't worry!!!
This morning Albert and Billy went to the bush in Germany to pick bows for our presentation. They made the cab wait and transported to the site.
We had a big crowd today, many of the people like to come for the performances of Kenny Mianscum, Richard Bosum and Norman Wapachee. They decided to sing all together this week.
We also explained to the people on what a Walking Out Ceremony is all about, our littlest, cutest model was on hand who also made on to the front page of the Expo Journal that's distributed to the town. Kelly Cooper, she's such a cool baby.
The most amazing thing happened today, our show that was presented today was aired LIVE on GERMAN TELEVISION, isn't that cool. I wonder how I looked like? (Lance)
Some of the people even asked Gaston for autographs, I guess we are like stars here. We also have people sign our teepee canvas to be displayed at the New Cultural Center.
We are having fun, especially with our elder Charlie, many jokes have flown out him since we left Montreal. He makes everyones day.
Until tomorrow, hear and see more of us.

Montreal, The Beginning
Departure: Chibougamau Airport 6:45am
It was a cloudy morning when we left at 5:40 a.m. from Ouje-Bougoumou, eight of us went on the first flight to Montreal from Chibougamau and the second group left at 4:30 p.m.,
Upon arrival at the Hilton Hotel in Montreal, group members were requested to meet and talk about our trip. Had a short meeting with members of the HyperActive Productions, we were also presented with our plane tickets for our departure to Germany.
With an evening off in Montreal, everybody went on their separate ways, some went at movies, stayed at the hotel, or did last minute shopping and others just enjoyed what Montreal had to offer.
The second day of our trip, we had the afternoon in Montreal since the flight was only scheduled for later that evening. Some of the group members went to the Pow Wow in Kahnawake, enjoyed the city again and more shopping.
With anticipation for our departure, we gathered at the Airport early to make sure we all were on our way. With baggage and tickets already presented, we were on our way to board our plane. Many of us exhausted from the day at the airport, we all looked forward to sleep in our long flight and waking up in London England after a full nights' rest.
