JOSHUA BOSUM
Welcome to my Webpage
Hi everyone! My name is JOSHUA BOSUM and I'm from Ouje-Bougoumou, Quebec located 600 miles north of Montreal .
I'm 16 years old, born on May 22, 1981. I attend school here at the Waapihtiiwewan School and the teachers are great here. My favorite sports are playing hockey , tennis, mini golf, basketball and weight lifting. I have three brothers and two sisters and my parents names are Johnny and Winnie Bosum and I have two nieces and one nephew and I've got a big family tree. My mother works at the Capasissit Lodge here in the village and my dad is a gospel singer who travels everywhere in Canada and a few parts in the United States.
The thing I like the most in my life is playing hockey. My goal is to become a player in the National Hockey League and play with my idol Alexandre Daigle and the Ottawa Senators, check out the Alexandre Daigle cool web site . Playing at the Corel Center in Ottawa would be fantastic thing for me. The Corel Center in Ottawa (Kanata) is the best place I like to go to watch the Ottawa Senators play.
I also like traveling all over the world, the furthest place I ever been was in Montana, it was so hot there, Next spring my plans are to visit Arizona with a friend. But I've been nearly everywhere in Canada. Other things about my self is, Italian and Mexican food is my favorite food. I really enjoy talking to people. I organize a Floor Hockey League which is named the ONFHL, and member of a Peer Leadership group. My favorite music singers are Mariah Carey, Black Hawk, Brian Adams , dance and Gospel music.
Before we lived in Ouje-Bougoumou my fellow community members lived in camps beside highway 113 we lived in cabins and had a trailer washroom in each of our camps. To get our our education we attended school in Chibougamau and stayed in boarding homes ,but before then, our parents went to school in La Tuque down south of Lac St-Jean, they where the teachers and principal where very strick at that time, it use to be like a prison. We use to be happier to come home, to our parents and we the cousins, and get together we are more happy that we have our new community of Ouje-Bougoumou which was built in 1992. But sometimes I miss those days when we use to live at the camp, I wish it would have never ended, today our youth are slowly starting to forget there culture.
