I am an Eeyou (Cree) from Ouje Bougoumou, Eeyou Astchee (Quebec). Hey! I betcha you've never heard about Ouje Bougoumou eh? Well I'll tell you a little about it. Ouje Bougoumou is a Cree village which is located in Northern Quebec, 600 miles north of Montreal. It is one of Canada's newest First Nation villages. Cree is still our everyday language, indeed we have words in Cree that will astonish you. "Wachiya", for instance means "good-bye". But there are many other things about us that will astonish you too. Ouje Bougoumou is like a whole new different world. A world with only one Store, one Resturaunt/Motel, one Baseball field, one Basketball court, one Tennis court, one Clinic, and a population of approximately 500.
Well, besides talking about Ouje-Bougoumou, I have more to tell you about me. I am 15 years old, I was born on June 10, 1982 in Chibougamau, Quebec. I am in Grade 10 and I attend school here in Ouje-Bougoumou at Waapihtiiwewan School, which means "Vision" in English. I really enjoy going to school and I hope to graduate in the near future. My favourite subjects in school are History, Georgraphy, Art and Language arts. But my most favorite is Language arts because someday I want to be a Writer. One who writes poems, stories and songs, I have written a song once for myself.
Well anyways, enough talk about school. Hey! I betcha you think that's all I do, go to school and study. Well, heck no! I do alot of other stuff, like hanging out, travelling, talking on the phone, partying, playing sports, etc. My favorite sports are Basketball, Baseball,and Volleyball. Oh ya, we have Basket-ball teams here. Cool eh? The girls team is called "Maheecuns" which means "Wolves". The mens and boy's team is "Huskies". We usually go to tournaments, even though sometimes we get slautered.

Other things I like to do are playing on the Internet, meeting new people, and listening to music. My listening interests are Dance, Pop, R&B, Soft Rock, Metal, and Rap. My favorite rap singers are TUPAC, WARREN G, DR.DRE, LL COOL J, SEAN "PUFFY" COMBS and loads more!
Well, besides talking about myself I can tell you a little about my family. I have five brothers and five sisters. BIG family eah? My brothers names are Antonio (26), Harry (22), Daniel (19), Willy (18), Thomas (16). And my sisters names are Cecilia (25), Weena (24), Emily (21), Karen (20), and my youngest sister Lily Belle (13). My parents names are David & Anna Bosum.
