Well everybody know's me better if I call myself Balish, so you can call me that too even if I don't know you. My real name is Varley Mianscum. If you want to know more about me you are welcome to read the rest of this page. I am a native from the award winning community of Ouje-Bougoumou

click on the underlined to see where in the province I live.

Ouje-Bougoumou won a UNITED NATIONS award for the best modern village settlement. I was there when the award was presented in NEW YORK CITY. for all those how are reading this it might not mean that much to you but I sure am glad that we won that award. The reason is, we the people of Ouje-Bougoumou have been relocated many times and finally we have a place where we don't ever have to move.

To anyone in New York, love that city of yours, wish I can go back there even thought it is not that safe. I guess it's not that safe up here too with all the wild animals that roam around freely.

Well I am into working, I work as often as I can, I like to have money in my pocket. Hey who wouldn't eh! I like to watch American Movies even though I am Canadian. I presume that everybody likes American movies eh! I like to listen to music too. There is nothing that much to do up north except for traveling down to southern cities and waste your money trying to get there.

:-)

Well I guess that I should talk about myself now. I am not that much to look at as you can see in the picture. I like browsing the Internet but right now I am not hooked up, I go to a place in our community where they are hooked up kind of like a Internet cafe. I will be hooked up in the future. Most of the time I just hang around the the village and walk around, it is very small. It is the perfect getaway if you want peace and quiet you can walk down a beautiful lake it is called Lake Opemiska it is the most newest village in the nine Cree communities. Well I don't really like to talk about myself so I'll just say that hope you were not bored reading about me. I bet you were,

Both my parents are cree and they both speak talk the Cree language only, well my mother understands English but she doesn't really want to speak it. Most of the time she only speaks Ccree, My Father only speaks Cree, My brothers and I speak English, French and Cree. My sisters only speak English and Cree. I work at a local store, and at the restaurant sometimes. I have two nephews and four nieces.

Well I hope that you visit our village website of Ouje Bougoumou if you didn't see it already.
